Why does it say "Connected" next to "Public Networks" in my Windows Firewall settings page when I am not actually connected to any network and even when all my network cards are disabled? I have asked this in other forums, and under the same conditions some said theirs says "Connected" and another said his said "Not Connected". Any ideas? Thanks!

I forgot to mention I am running Windows 7, 64-bit.

That is not the status of your network connection. That is the status of your connect of Windows Firewall profile. In your case it means your Windows Firewall is connected to the profile of “Public Networks”.
